Subject: Library Operations Permitted Under Executive Order 107
Date: May 26th 2020

Dear Colleagues,
We continue to receive reports of libraries which are conducting business not in accordance with Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 107.  EO 107 designates libraries as closed to the public and only allows very limited staff in the building to perform functions essential to the continued existence of the library (such as bill payment or inspection and maintenance of the physical plant).  Any other functions performed in the library building (including curbside pick-up of library materials) may be in violation of Executive Order 107.

As of May 26, 2020 Executive Order 107 has not been lifted and public libraries are still under its effect.

If you believe a library is in violation of Executive Order 107 you may file a report at https://covid19.nj.gov/forms/violation.

Best regards,

Bob Keith
