ALA’s Libraries Build Business team invites you to join the cohort of 13 grantees for a Lunch & learn on Wednesday, July 22, at 12:00 noon (ET), when they will discuss cohort libraries’ unique programs as well as the goals and scope of the project and plans to share findings with the greater library community. Register for the Lunch & Learn here.
With funding supported by a $2 million grant from Google.org announced in Fall 2019, the Libraries Build Business selection committee identified a cohort of 13 libraries to expand existing programs that support small businesses in underrepresented communities, such as Black, Latinx, and immigrant-owned businesses. Libraries Build Business will announce the cohort libraries on Monday morning, July 15.
Also on July 15, two Libraries Build Business grantees will be featured in a national Grow with Google event, Build Your Online Presence with Google and Your Local Library. ALA encourages libraries seeking to expand their services to entrepreneurs to promote the free event to their local entrepreneurs and small business communities. Register here for the live, online event, which will take place at 3:00 p.m. (ET).
Best,
Andrea
