The New Jersey State Library is pleased to announce a second product, paid for with IMLS funding from the CARES Act, that will become available effective September 9, 2020.
Zoom, the popular online webinar and meeting software, is being licensed for all New Jersey public libraries. This is an Enterprise license which will allow each library to host a webinar for up to 500 attendees, or a meeting, also with up to 500 attendees. This license is not just for the headquarters library, but for all public library locations.
For libraries that already have Zoom licenses the State Library is working with the vendor on an equitable arrangement.
Sahar Dampier, administrative assistant in Library Support Services, already has a file with library director names and email addresses. She will begin working next week to import this file into the Zoom profile, with each director being an administrator. The director may then make other staff users on the system. There are a number of recorded and live sessions on a variety of topics, including creating users, that will be sent to the public library directors’ list after September 9.
