YALSA’s 2020 Teens’ Top Ten Announced
The official titles of YALSA’s 2020 Teens’ Top Ten have been announced. Voting by teens began in in mid-August and ended mid-October. View and download the full list with annotations on the Teens’ Top Ten webpage. Teens aged 12-18 can nominate their favorite titles to be considered as a 2021 Teens’ Top Ten nominee via the public nomination form by Dec. 31. For books to be eligible for consideration for 2021, they must be published between Jan. 1– Dec. 31, 2020. Since the start of the year, YALSA’s Teens’ Top Ten book groups, which are made up of teen book groups from libraries across the U.S., have been reading advanced reading copies and nominating titles.

The 2021 National Medal for Museum and Library Service nomination process closes November 2.

This year, IMLS is particularly interested in libraries continuing to engage their communities during the unprecedented coronavirus pandemic and enhanced focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, through providing information, programming, and services virtually, or taking innovative and imaginative steps toward continuing services and reopening their physical spaces.

The National Medals program recognizes outstanding libraries and museums of all types and sizes that deeply impact their communities. For more information and a list of frequently asked questions, visit the Medals nomination page
