FYI,
The link below is to the Social Justice Graphic Novels website, which provides an annotated bibliography of social justice graphic novels for young adults.
Social Justice Graphic Novels - a Carnegie Whitney Grant project
The website was funded by the American Library Association's (ALA) Carnegie-Whitney Grant.
The titles listed on the site cover social justice issues such as racism, gender, the environment, mental health, and more. In addition to the lists of graphic novels (by title and topic), the site includes resources for librarians, teachers, and parents.
*The research project, Social Justice Issues in Graphic Novels for Young Adults: A Global Perspective, which led to the development of the website, was also funded by: • Albers Guest Scholar in Children's Literature Fellowship from the iSchool at Kent State University, • Southeastern Conference (SEC) Visiting Faculty Travel Grant..
We hope you will enjoy exploring the website and that you will share it widely.
Best wishes,
