FYI,
I’m sharing this information I received from a virtual performer:
My name is Yasu Ishida and I am a library performer living in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Before the Covid time, I used to perform 80-90 library shows a year, in south eastern states (SC, NC, GA, FL, AL, TN).
First of all, thank you so much for everything you do for the community in this tough time. I feel like libraries are needed more than ever.
Last year, I worked with more than 55 libraries in 10 states around the country providing virtual SRP shows. (https://youtu.be/a2A2yvLCqeY)
I would love to bring it to your library this year, if you are thinking of doing virtual shows. This is a little preview of the program. (https://vimeo.com/502370151)
I incorporate Japanese folktales with origami, and magic tricks. It goes with this year’s library theme “Tails and Tales”. It is a 35-40 minutes program targeting family audiences. And I can do any virtual formats your library likes. (e.g. Live streaming on your FB page, pre-recording, or zoom workshop etc.) I also offer a virtual hands-on origami workshop for teens or adults too.
Please take a look and please let me know if we can work together for the community this summer.
