Library Assistant - Circulation and Youth Services

Perform circulation and other duties under the direct supervision of the Circulation Head.  Perform Youth Services duties under the direct supervision of the Youth Services Head.  Act as a floater between departments, covering either department as scheduled.

 

Conduct and assist in the planning and promotion of story time programs, crafts and other programs for young children.  Assist with youth services circulation and other tasks as needed.  Assist children, teens and parents with readers’ advisory needs.  Program docent as needed.

 

Experience with children required.  Customer service experience and computer skills required.  Early childhood education experience and library experience preferred. 

 

Full-time Position	Part-time Position
Available as a fulltime position with hours:   Mondays, 9-5 Tuesdays, 9-5 Wednesdays, 9-6 Thursdays, 9-6 Fridays, 9-5 (1x month) Saturdays, 9-5 (4x month)   Additional weekend hours may be available as mutually agreeable.	Hours are negotiable but may be scheduled on:   Wednesdays (or another weekday) Saturdays Sundays       Let us know what works for you and we’ll try to structure those hours.
