Dear Colleagues,
The Plainfield Public Library, located at 800 Park Ave, Plainfield, NJ 07060, will be hosting two tours for libraries interested in applying to be a “spoke” or “hub” library in the NJSL ARPA literacy project.
Two walk-throughs will be held to allow potential applicants to get the information they need to determine if this program is right for their library.

More about the NJSL Literacy Project:
Goal: Establish public libraries as local literacy hubs that support residents in achieving literacy – digital, financial, workforce, adult basic, English language – according to local need(s).
Vision: Public libraries are seen as integral partners in adult education and workforce development and receive financial support commensurate with role and outcomes.
Method: This project will use a Hub and Spoke model for developing formal literacy programs at public libraries using model established by and in alignment with Plainfield Public Library.
