The Summit Free Public Library, Union County, is seeking an enthusiastic, outgoing, and creative teen librarian to provide programming, reference and readers’ advisory services to patrons in a very busy Youth Services department. An existing knowledge of children’s and young adult literature is desirable as is an abiding interest in children and young adults. Strong programming skills for young adults required.
8 hrs/week including Tuesday afternoons, as well as one additional afternoon or evening, one Saturday/month and periodic Sundays. $29.03/hour.
REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES
Qualifications/Requirements: ALA accredited Masters of Library Service and NJ Professional Librarian’s Certificate. Current library and information school graduate students nearing the completion of their graduate studies will be considered as well.
Experience working with teens preferable. Spanish Speaking a plus
