Hello, Colleagues,

Are you interested in being trained to provide STEM/STEAM workshops for children ages 3 – 10 who you serve in your library? The State Leadership Team for Leap into Science is doing a virtual training on the Leap into Science curriculum “Light and Shadow” on December 9, 2021 from 2:00-4:30 pm. Developed by the Franklin Institute, Leap into Science integrates open-ended science activities with children’s books, designed for children ages 3-10 and their families.

Three different workshop models are covered in one training: preschool (ages 3-5), elementary (ages 6-10) and one for families. Anyone from a library who completes the training and commits to offering three workshops in their organization by the end of May 2022 will receive one kit for your library that contains all the materials you will need to provide programming in your library on all three workshop models.

If interested, please use this link to register for the virtual training: https://leapintoscienceeducatortraining.eventbrite.com

Leap into Science is a nationwide program developed by The Franklin Institute Science Museum and the National Girls Collaborative Project funded by the National Science Foundation. The program empowers educators to offer workshops in community settings like libraries, museums, and out-of-school time programs to engage under-served audiences in accessible and familiar settings.
