FYI,

Just Sharing a few items of interest:

Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) Upcoming Events:

  • Next Friday, 2/18/2022, at 10AM CT, 11 AM ET,  ALSC will host a free 2022 Newbery Coffee Klatch with this year’s medalist and honorees – a conversation moderated by 2022 Newbery Chair Tad Andracki. It’s not a “CE” opportunity, pe se, but a meeting of great minds in the field of children’s literature that some might be able to posit as CE with their administrators.
  • Registration for ALSC National Institute in Kansas City, Missouri, September 29-October 1, 2022, is now open. ALSC will be announcing our keynotes and education sessions over the next four weeks, so please be on the lookout for that information.

and Poster Revealed

Every Child a Reader and the Children's Book Council have announced this year's Children's Book Week slogan, "How Do You Book?" The theme for Children’s Book Week
(May 2–8) asks participants in the literacy celebration to think about what they read, where they read, and how they read.
