READsquared Contract Extended until September 30, 20022

The New Jersey State Library originally licensed READsquared online summer reading registration/tracking software in April of 2020 as a response to the COVID pandemic. The timing was such that our contract expired with this company at the end of April 2022. State Librarian Jen Nelson has approved a short term extension of this contract from May 1, 2022 through September 30, 2022 while our statewide E-resources and software committee deliberates on electronic resources moving forward.

Please know that this extension does not mean that READsquared, or any other Summer Reading Program online software, will be renewed past September 2022.

We hope that this helps New Jersey public libraries plan for their summer reading activities.
