FYI,
I’m sharing information about this free virtual event that’s hosted by the University of North Carolina – Greensboro and is organized by an informal national Food Literacy & Libraries working group.
Gather at the Virtual Table: Community Conversations on Food and Librarianship
Thursday, May 12, 12:00 – 3:30 pm
All are welcome to join this free, interactive national event on how food and librarianship can (and do!) come together.
Enjoy a keynote address by Sarah Anderson with Oldways, a food and nutrition nonprofit helping people live healthier, happier lives. Oldways helps people rediscover and embrace the healthy, sustainable joys of the “old ways” of shared cultural traditions.
After the keynote, attendees will move into breakout rooms in which you'll have the opportunity to converse with your colleagues about topics of interest at your library, from culinary literacy and food programming, to family engagement, to addressing food insecurity and food waste.
