Subject: LEGO Foundation #BuildAWorldOfPlay platform is now open
Date: June 3rd 2022

FYI,

The #BuildAWorldOfPlay platform with an abundance of free resources for libraries is open! The toolkit is available in these languages: Bengali, Danish, English, Kinyarwanda, Portuguese, Spanish and Swahili.  It includes locally adaptable ´how to´ activity ideas, a catalog of ´plug-and-play´ activities, downloadable media and communication assets for amplification and use on social channels, opportunities for tying own initiatives and featuring own organization name to the campaign website, and more. You can access the platform here

Public libraries are essential for reaching and involving local communities and therefore the nonprofit LEGO Foundation seeks to engage with library partners for rolling out the campaign #BuildAWorldOfPlay in 11 countries in 2022.  The campaign highlights the importance of play and learning and we hope that you will help us in disseminating information about the campaign to librarians in your community. The #BuildAWorldOfPlay campaign will run from June 10 to August 10, 2022. However, we are aware that many libraries will for practical reasons probably want to engage during late summer or fall - which is perfectly alright.

We are planning a larger online gathering for libraries sometime this summer. It will feature case-studies from around the world and share some best practices. We will send more info closer to the time, but if you have ideas for projects we could include please don’t hesitate to reach out.

We would love to hear from you. Just email us at ...@media.mit.edu" style="color: #2199e8; font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-weight: normal; line-height: 1.3; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-align: left; text-decoration: none;" target="_blank">worl...@media.mit.edu.
