The Nocturnals by Tracey Hecht - Read Aloud Writing Workshop

Tracey Hecht connects readers to the real-life animal science in “The Nocturnals” fiction book series.

Created in partnership with The New York Public Library, Tracey's interactive workshop explores developing characters based on animal physiology, creating author voice, and learning how fiction and nonfiction books are made.

The workshop is available for children ages 5-12, although it works best across 3rd grade levels. It runs about 30-40 minutes plus Q&A.
We are currently booking in-person visits on a case-by-case basis within day travel of NYC from now through the fall, but we always offer virtual workshops to anyone-anywhere.

Fabled Films Press does not charge for our virtual author events. We prefer any funds allocated for author fees go towards purchasing books to give away. Though we do expect you to have what each library would consider an appropriate number of print copies or e-books for your library available for your patrons to check out.
