The Convention Sub-committee is looking for some folks willing to present at ConnectiCon is Hartford, CT. We are open to any presentations that library staff could use as PD related to comics, graphic novels, manga/anime, or cosplay.
Here are some of the presentation ideas we have that we are looking for presenters/co-presenters for: -Benefits of Reading Graphic Novels and Comics for Young People -How to do Cosplay Programming at your Library -Could also cover how to volunteer at a library as a cosplayer -Comics Under Attack! (IF and comics/GNs) -Why does my kid(s) like…comic, GNs, manga, anime, etc -BookTalk Blitz (Book Talk Presentation based on a topic or award list)
ConnectiCon will reimburse your convention registration if you present one panel and will add money to your compensation if you present addition panels. All info about that can be found here: connecticon.org/events/... There is no compensation for travel to this convention available for presenters.
