SEEKING LIBRARY WORKERS TO PARTICIPATE IN SURVEY ON
PERCEPTIONS OF IMMIGRANT ACCULTURATION
Library workers in the U.S. are welcome to participate in a 20-minute survey, and respondents will have the option to take part in a 20-30 minute follow-up interview study. Interviews will be transcribed and audio recorded, and participants in the interviews will earn a $25 Tango card to be distributed in 2-4 weeks. The data from the study will contribute to the improved knowledge and tools to strengthen library outreach to immigrant communities. Participation is optional and completely voluntary. Responses will be kept confidential, and participants may opt out of the study at any time. The researchers will mitigate the risk of data breach. There are no conflicts of interest involved with this study. The research is funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Services. The study's design has been approved by the Institutional Review Board of the University of Maryland (UMD IRB Study # 2038172-1).
