Hi, Everyone,

 

Here's a way you can encourage the youth you serve to participate in the 250th Anniversary Celebrations for the Boston Tea Party.

They're collecting loose leaf dried tea to use in the re-creation of the event on December 16th. You'll get a little memento of your participation. For more information: https://www.december16.org/the-boston-tea-party-250th-anniversary-student-tea-donation-drive

This information isn’t youth services related, but I thought maybe some of you might be personally interested in it.

 

The National Archives and Records Administration has launched a new initiative related to its Citizen Archivist program, the Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty-Land Warrant Files.  They are looking for volunteers to transcribe over 80,000 records from these collections.  You can find out more information about the program at https://www.archives.gov/citizen-archivist/missions/revolutionary-war-pension-files.
