The New Jersey State Library has been chosen to administer a grant to New Jersey public libraries using funds from the 2003 Compact Disc Minimum Advertised Price Antitrust Settlement Grant Program. The terms of the anti-trust settlement require that each library purchase digital music, including downloadable content. If all NJ public libraries eligible for this program elect to participate the grant amount per library will be approximately $470. Since the regulations were substantially re-worked in 2005, NJSL proposes that these rules be re-adopted with minor changes.
