PRINCETON CHILDREN’S BOOK FESTIVAL SATURDAY SEPT. 23, 2017
The 12th annual Princeton Children’s Book Festival takes place this Saturday, Sept. 23, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine on Hinds Plaza
next to the library.
More than 80 of the most acclaimed authors and illustrators in children’s literature will participate in the festival, one of the largest of its kind on the East
Coast. During the Festival, fans of all ages will have the opportunity to purchase books supplied by jaZams, to meet with authors and illustrators, and to have their books signed.
Author and illustrator Brian Biggs created the poster and artwork for this year's Children's Book Festival and will be in attendance. Biggs has written and illustrated
the “Tinyville Town” series (2017), and illustrated “Noisy Night” (2017, written by Mac Barnett), and the Frank Einstein series (written by Jon Scieszka). Characters from his “Tinyville Town” series are featured on this year’s poster.
Other authors and illustrators participating in the 2017 Festival include:
Wendy Mass (“Space Taxi” and “The Candymakers” series), Coretta Scott King award winner and two time Caldecott Honor-winner Brian Pinkney (“Let's
Clap, Jump, Sing, and Shout; Dance, Spin, and Turn It Out!”), Anica Mrose Rissi (“The Teacher’s Pet”, the “Anna, Banana” series), Ben Clanton (“Narwhal:Unicorn of the
Sea!”), Ame Dyckman (“Horrible Bear”, ”Wolfie the Bunny”, illustrated by Zachariah OHora), Greg Pizzoli, Theodor Seuss Geisel Award-winner and Honor-winner (“The Watermelon Seed”,“Goodnight Owl”) and many other authors and illustrators.
