2018 CSLP Teen Video Challenge –Deadline to receive the entry is February 28, 2018

Teens from New Jersey are invited to participate in the 2018 Teen Video Challenge (2018 TVC). This national initiative, sponsored by the Collaborative Summer Library Program (CSLP), encourages teens to create videos that promote reading, public libraries, and the 2018 CSLP summer reading slogan for all ages, “Libraries Rock!.” The winning video from each state that participates will be named one of the CSLP 2018 Teen Videos to promote summer reading nationwide. The winning teen’s public library will receive a gift certificate for prizes worth at least $100 from Demco and receive a certificate that will acknowledge their accomplishment. The winners will be announced by CSLP in April 2018.

Interested teens must go through their local public library’s teen librarian to submit their entry. Collaboration between teens in school and public libraries to create the video is encouraged, although the video must be submitted with the teen public librarian’s approval.

For full details about the CSLP 2018 Teen Video Challenge and to find out how to enter, go to the NJ State Library’s website and see the attached documents on the summer reading page here: http://www.njstatelib.org/services_for_libraries/consulting_services/youth_services/summer_reading/ or visit the Collaborative Summer Library Program’s website at CSLP.
