Excite Transformation for Libraries – Deadline to Apply April 17th
The New Jersey State Library is proud to be participating in a national project: "EXCITE Transformation for Libraries." This opportunity, offered through a partnership with the Connecticut State Library, is funded by an Institute of Museum
and Library Services' grant. Library staff at all levels and at different types of libraries need leadership, innovation, and collaboration training in order to be qualified for higher positions and in order to lead successfully. Not only will library staff
benefit from this training, but so will their libraries and their communities.
EXCITE Transformation for Libraries, a 3-day, intensive team-based experiential learning program will:
- teach collaboration and innovation skills;
- result in programs and services that respond to community input and demonstrated needs;
- lead to cultural change at libraries;
- and sustain project impact through extended training.
Who can apply?
Public, academic, school, and special libraries are invited to send four-person teams to participate in the Bootcamps. We will be recruiting five teams, each comprising four individuals. It is suggested that the teams include four members
from the same library, and we would recommend that the library director be part of the team.

June 11th - 13th, 2019, 8:00 a.m - 5:30 p.m.
