Hey guys, we have Tracey Baptiste coming our author dinner *fangirl squealing* in September, so i'm getting the word out in case some of y'all are interested! For those of y'all who don't know her i've included our little blurb about her and her books. If you're interested in World Mythology, the Jumbies might be up your alley!

The SBPL Foundation presents
The 2019 Author Dinner Gala
Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m.
After hours at the Library
This year's event will have a Caribbean vibe to welcome Trinidad native Tracey Baptiste (pronounced buhTEEST).
In September, the New York Times best-selling author will present The Jumbie God's Revenge, the third in her popular (though "creepy") middle grade book series about Jumbies. What is a Jumbie? You may not want to find out! ;) Never fear though, Tracey will be more than happy to tell you how to prevent an encounter.

Tracey is also the author of the New York Times best-selling middle grade book Minecraft: The Crash (2018) and numerous non-fiction books.
The New Jersey resident spends most of her days writing, editing, and working with students in the Lesley University MFA program.
To learn more about Tracey Baptiste, visit https://traceybaptiste.wordpress.com/

The after-hours gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14 with appetizers, followed by a buffet dinner and dessert. Ticket purchase will include her newest book The Jumbie God’s Revenge, a book-signing, all food and beverages, and an author talk by Tracey.
Tickets are $65 each and can be purchased at the Library Borrower Services Desk or online.

To purchase tickets online, and for more information about program book sponsors/advertisers, visit https://www.sbpl.info/authordinner2019/

Best,

Cindy
