FYI,
Project THRIVE's monthly webinar for September is "Working With Latinx LGBTQ Youth," presented by Lisbeth Melendez Rivera:
Latinx LGBTQ youth face a myriad of barriers based on their lived experiences, which can differ greatly. There are several factors that play into the experiences of Latinx LGBTQ youth, such as immigration status, current and historical cultural dynamics based on their familial country of origin, family dynamics, as well as religious background and faith adherence. This webinar will cover how these factors impact Latinx LGBTQ youth, how to navigate familial rejection, and cover some of HRC's Latinx-focused resources: the Latinx LGBTQ Youth Report, Coming Out: Living Authentically as LGBTQ Latinx Americans, and Coming Home to Catholicism and Self.
The webinar will take place September 24th at 2:00 pm EST. There is no cost to participate and registration is required
