The New Jersey State Library has selected Baker & Taylor to partner in creating a new digital resource collection available to library users statewide, made possible for one year by CARES Act funding to the State.

 

The collection will support:

• Recreational and popular reading

• STEAM

• Diversity and inclusion

• All age levels – children, teen, and adult

 

The collection will launch in October 2020 and will serve all public libraries in New Jersey as an important expansion of materials available for remote access. This new eBook resource will also seamlessly integrate with the all-in-one, digital library application, SimplyE.

More information will be forthcoming about the Baker and Taylor collection and Simply E in the coming weeks.

 

The State Library has also licensed SimplyE  for public libraries in New Jersey using CARES Act funding. SimplyE is an open source e-reading software suite that allows libraries to manage their collections and control the patron experience for finding, borrowing, and reading library e-books and e-audiobooks. For libraries with multiple collections (from Overdrive/Overdrive Advantage, RBdigital, Baker & Taylor, Bibliotheca, and/or DPLA), it unifies the patron experience to a single interface using the free SimplyE e-reading mobile application available for both IOS and Android devices.
