Hello all,
I have a few updates to share along with the information about our next in-person NJLibsGrowBiz Committee meeting.
We will be meeting on December 13, 2019 from 2-4pm at Montclair State University’s Harry A. Sprague Library (1 Normal Avenue Montclair, NJ 07043). Our guest speaker will be Darren Sweeper, Government Documents, Legal Reference, and Data Librarian at Harry A. Sprague Library, Montclair State University and he will be presenting, “What is Research with New Jersey?” He will share why Research with New Jersey is an important tool (https://www.researchwithnj.com/) and how public libraries can use and promote it in their local communities.
Please see the attached map and parking information for getting around Montclair State University. There will be a virtual option for attending, and I will send login information and an agenda as the date gets closer.
Now for the other updates:
· The Northwest NJ Small Business Development Center is hosting a session at Parsippany Library (Yay, Vera!) on October 18, “Cyber Mindfulness and Risk Management for Small Business Owners.” If you’re local, please share with your business community (or attend yourself if the topic is appealing!).
· Taxation University events are scheduled through November: https://www.njstatelib.org/TaxationUniversity
· Want to share your own events with the group? One easy way is with our new NJLibsGrowBiz list! Yes, we now have an email address. I will be sharing it more widely soon, but right now it is for our group. Our email address is NJLibsGrowBiz@PROTECTED
· Save the Date! The Entrepreneurship & Libraries Conference will be held November 11-13, 2020 in Durham, NC (yes, North Carolina): https://entrelib.org/
If you have questions or comments, please let me know!
Best,
Andrea
