Last Friday, Victoria Rosch distributed the 2010 Equalized Valuation spreadsheet via the list. If for some reason, you were unable to open it, you can now find it on the NJ State Library's website at: http://www.njstatelib.org/LDB/State_Aid/ . For municipal and joint libraries only: One-third mill (.000333333) is the legal minimum for municipal and joint libraries. The calculation of the one-third mill amount assumes the library has no exemptions from the 1/3 mill law, that the municipality is operating on a calendar fiscal year and that the increase from 2009 EV is equal to or less than 15%. The Per Capita State Aid amounts based on your 2009 data have been calculated. The amounts are attached and will also be posted to http://www.njstatelib.org/LDB/State_Aid/. Any reduction around 49% is due to the funding cut that the program sustained.
