The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission (ALBC) invited governors from all fifty states to appoint a State Liaison to the ALBC Governors' Council. State Liaisons help publicize national bicentennial programs and events in their state, serve as a contact point between the federal ALBC and their state, and coordinate their own state's bicentennial programs and events. From: Kathleen Peiffer The State Library was recently informed that Newsbank sales representatives have been contacting New Jersey libraries to tell them that they have concluded an exclusive agreement with the Star-Ledger, and the Star-Ledger will be leaving the Infotrac Database and going with NewsBank sometime around August.
