Princeton Children’s Book Festival – Saturday, September 22, 2018
The 2018
Princeton Children’s Book Festival takes place Saturday, September 22, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (rain or shine) on Hinds Plaza, next to the
Princeton Public Library.
More than 80 of the most acclaimed authors and illustrators in children’s literature will participate in the festival, one of the largest of its kind on the East Coast. At the festival, fans of all ages will have
the opportunity to purchase books supplied by jaZams, meet with authors and illustrators and have their books signed.
Award-winning author and illustrator Angela Dominguez created the poster and artwork for this year's Princeton Children's Book Festival and will be in attendance. She will also read from her books during a special
story time before the festival at 10:30 a.m. in the library’s Story Room.
Dominguez is the author and illustrator of several books for children including “Mary Had a Little Llama,” “How Do You Say, ¿Cómo se dice?” “How Are You, ¿Cómo estás?” “Knit Together” and others. Her first novel for middle grade students, “Stella Diaz Has Something to Say,” was released in January.
For a complete list of participating authors and illustrators, see
bookfestival.princetonlibrary.org. Festival visitors can also stop by the PSO BRAVO! Instrument Petting Zoo to try out percussion and string
instruments under the guidance of Princeton Symphony Orchestra musicians.
The Princeton Children’s Book Festival is made possible by a partnership with
jaZams of Princeton. Princeton Public Library is in the Sands Library Building at 65 Witherspoon St. in Princeton, NJ. Convenient parking
is available on neighboring streets and in Spring Street Garage, which is adjacent to the library. For more information about library programs and services, call (609) 924-9529 or visit
