Another Marshmallow idea ... One summer I found directions to make a simple catapult with a plastic spoon, rubber band and some cardboard pieces... then the kids shot marshmallows with the catapult to see who could send them the farthest. (There seem to be several variations of the catapult on the internet.) Speaking of marshmallows, how about those marshmallow shooters, aka blowguns where you use miniature marshmallows? I bought some of the camo ones from oriental trading and the kids loved them! *From:* Barbara Mease [mailto:bme...@gcls.org] *Sent:* Thursday, October 08, 2009 11:44 AM *To:* njy...@njstatelib.org *Subject:* [njyac] RE: Hunger Games Party Ideas? *Importance:* High Dear Michelle and Fran, What about having marshmallow death matches? Dear Michelle and Fran, What about having marshmallow death matches? Two marshmallows are placed on a paper plate, can draw facial features with icing or food coloring, with two toothpicks placed as arms into each marshmallow, then place in a microwave. Surprise! see who survived the microwave! The tallest one wins. Happy Halloween. Hi Michelle, You might want to play some elimination nerf dodge ball as the final competition with the last one or two remaining as the winning tributes. You can use one or more nerf balls. Depending on the size of the group, you can break them up into audience and tributes. Use a luck-of-the-draw to find out who will be the tributes (just folded-up pieces of paper in a box or bag that say either audience or tribute on them).
