SUMMARY OF ILL ADMIN ENHANCEMENTS

ILL Request Form \x96 Lender\x92s Notes

Previously, ILL request Full Record Displays showed only Lender\x92s Notes entered by the current lender. The Full Record Display now shows Lender\x92s Notes entered by all lenders during the life of the ILL request. Lender\x92s Notes are listed in reverse-chronologic order (newest note first).

Address / Ship To Address

The library \x93physical\x94 and \x93ship to\x94 addresses in the Address / Contact Information section of the Participant Record now include Country fields. The Country fields are \x93read only,\x94 and are filled by the system with the appropriate country.

Lending Policies \x96 System Checked Formats

For libraries that utilize the optional \x93Apply lending policies to ILL requests\x94 feature, the material type \x93Books\x94 is now a System Checked material type (when an ILL request is submitted for an item of a System Checked material type, the system automatically checks the lending policies for potential ILL lenders to determine whether or not a given lender should be included in the Lender List for the request).

SUMMARY OF ILUMINAR ENHANCEMENTS

Library Lookup from Iluminar Splash Page

An option has been added to the Iluminar Options screen that supports the additional of a \x93Library Lookup\x94 feature on the Iluminar Splash Page. This feature is intended for use by consortia and other multi-library environments. In the event a user wishes to login to a library other than the default library, the Library Lookup feature can be used to locate the desired library.

New \x93Quick Search\x94 Widget

There is a new Iluminar splash page widget that allows the library or consortium to include a large Quick Search box and Choose Resources box prominently on the splash page.

Sorting by Relevancy

Previously, titles shown on the Search Results screen were listed in the order in which they were returned from the associated resource, and were essentially \x93unsorted.\x94 The system has been enhanced so that search results are now initially sorted according to relevancy (when sorting by relevancy is supported by the associated resource). Once results have been returned, they can be sorted according to any column heading, and may be returned to \x93relevancy\x94 order by clicking the Sort by Relevance indicator.
