We have been experiencing ongoing problems with loans from out of state libraries. Some JerseyCat libraries have been receiving books requested by other NJ libraries. First, please be aware that this is not caused by JerseyCat borrowers. Nor is it a JerseyCat system problem. The misshipments are from out of state libraries who use OCLC's ILLliad interface. We have been working to identify these libraries one by one and correct the problem.
In the meantime, if you should receive books from out of state libraries that you didn't request, please email me at cconfoy@PROTECTED. I will be able to tell you which library requested them. You can then forward the books to the correct library through the Velocity delivery service. Please do not sent the books back to the lender. That will cost postage and will mean the intended borrower won't get the item.
Also please do not sent these books to the State Library. That adds an extra step to the process.
Thanks,
Casey Confoy
