1.       Many libraries who allow their patrons to make off-site requests report that there is a login bar which prompts patrons to enter a username and password. This bar can be ignored. Patrons may search and request without logging in. And, more to the point, Auto-Graphics will be suppressing that bar (I hope as early as this afternoon) so it will no longer be an issue. Please note: The new URL for patron requests is https://njsl.agshareit.com/home?cid=njsl&lid=ABCD. The last letters of the address (in this case ABCD) should be replaced by your library’s JerseyCat code.

2.       Auto-Graphics has identified (and is in the process of fixing) a glitch that slowed response times when searching. Starting tomorrow, users should see must faster response times.

3.       Auto-Graphics is also changing the way holders are identified when matching ISBNs. Once this is implemented (probably in a few weeks), lender lists on many items should have more holders added. Obviously this will increase the borrower’s chances of getting their desired item. This change should also increase the chances of getting requests filled by New Jersey libraries, rather than by going out of state. More items filled in state means improved turnaround time and savings in postage.
